The collection was last processed in 2005 Spring. At the time this finding aid was written, the papers were filed with 10 other collections in a single box. The collection begins chronologically in 1861 with a letter from John N. Coleman to his fiancée Jennie Adkins. The collection ends with a series of letters between Eloise Tippins and Louis Lenz in 1963 about getting photocopies made of the muster roll and other documentation.
